The whole region that extends through the valleys, mountains range and the central Alborz peaks spreading down from the west to the east which separates the plain landscapes from the high lands. In historical sources, it is mentionned as internal rudbar-e qasran. This region too ecompasses the following sub-regions: a) Lavassan: the small lavassan and the great lavassan in the east. b) Rudbar-e qasran in the west. The position of Rudbar-e qasran in national civil divisions: At the extreme east, it approaches the siahplus river water head and spreads to the vicinity of sirak sar pass, and Ird village. In the North east, it is bordered by Sefid ab-e dast-e lar (karvanseray of the second waterfall) and in the northwest by dizin pass. All the southern front is occupied by the terminal southern range of central Alborz like a colossal wall extending from tuchal peak (west) to siraksar pass adjacent to Ira village (east). This region with various elevations, valleys, mountains specially high peaks and cold climate is characterisic for snowfall even in the first autumn precipitations. The snow altitude in many vallyes, and tuchal split amounts to 20m in the winter, most of which hold out until, the next winter. These snow masses are annually poential water sources for the plain inhabitants. Lack of which could definitively endanger their life. The famous dams like amirkabir, latian and lar are also watered by them.
